Blogging so easy – even a 75 year old CEO could do it.

Today’s Washington Post features an article on the self professed “tech-NO” J.W. Marriott, Jr. chief executive of Marriott International, and how he is starting his blog today. Although he won’t be typing the words himself, he plans on dictating his posts onto a recorder that will then be transcribed.

As Marriott puts it, “[a blog] is where this action is if you want to talk to your customers directly – and hear back from them.”

Congrats Mr. Marriott!

  1. Interesting to say the least. I have sent replies and comments to Bills various blogs that are right on topic but seems Bill only wants to boost and brag not really listen. I think someone told him that line to post, “As Marriott puts it, “[a blog] is where this action is if you want to talk to your customers directly – and hear back from them.””

    So much for listening even when its important. I am a long time Marriott rewards member and customer. (member = means absolutely nothing to big business)
