A few months ago I began a petition to allow pictures on LinkedIn.
Well… (drum roll please) now you can.
Somehow I doubt that this is because of my little petition – but it just goes to show that it helps to put what you want out there.

Andrea, you underestimate your power! Thanks for pulling this off.

Getting Pictures is a start, now if they would require that the picture be a photo of the real person and not another photo of George Clooney or Jessica Simpson.

Hi Andrea,
Just let me know what other features you’d like on the site.
businessgolf, LinkedIn requires that the picture be a photograph of the person. Anything else can be reported through the new “Flag this photo” feature, which allows the LinkedIn community to police itself.
Take care,

I love the fact that pictures are now allowed on LinkedIn. Unfortunately, we deal with folks that have a tough time placing a face with a name and will automatically click “I don’t know this person” when you have indeed met this person numerous times. Get enough “I don’t know” associated with your profile and you will get on the hit-list for the LinkedIn “police.”
